Karen’s extensive clinical experience with both professionals and families spans over two decades in a variety of settings across South Florida, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. Specializing in relational, behavioral, and emotional issues, she integrates a mindfulness approach into her practice. Karen has extensive training in human behavior and development and with that incorporates aspects of the social and family systems perspective. Karen emphasizes both prevention and intervention, aiming to provide solutions that empower her clients to achieve success, while helping them navigate the complexities of everyday life.

Karen takes pride in her genuine and direct approach to counseling and is known for both her honesty and sensitivity towards each individual’s unique needs. Her Texas roots and great sense of humor create a comfortable and safe environment. Karen believes there is no one-size fits all path to healing. She encourages her clients to be an active participant in their development and is dedicated to provide unwavering support and attention along each individual’s personal growth and healing journey.
